Cynthia Kenworthy Jones - Watercolor, Oil, Acrylic and Photography
Cynthia Kenworthy Jones

Form and color are the foundations of my artwork. My paintings and photography usually start with a feel for the scene, and then evolve into compositions in which mood is the primary subject. My art is very personal to me. The shapes and hues of nature inspire me. I attempt to make an impression more than capture photographic likeness. One of my goals as an artist is to evoke sensations from the viewer which I have felt. My primary focus is on natural landscapes and rural scenes. I am truly fascinated by the form and colors of the natural world. I study them incessantly in every type of light. I am gravitating towards fewer brush strokes as I progress as an artist. The impressionist’s painters are part of my inspiration and learning process.
